When I was thinking about going into the school photo business, I talked to teachers, principals, and administrators. They told me that they were tired of having to collect order forms, payment, and unwanted photos that were sent home with every child.
You have a school to run and students to educate. With other photographers who send home the deluxe package, when a parent doesn't want any photos, you have to collect the envelope and verify that all the photos are present. That takes a lot of time away from teaching. Still other photographers require pre-payment before the photos are captured, and that is never popular with parents.
My goal is to save you time and to save your parents money. About a week after photo day, I post the photos on a password protected section of my website where parents login to view only their child's photos. Orders are then placed directly with me online. That's right, you never have to deal with the payment or verifying totals and sales tax! For orders placed within a 3 week timeframe, I offer free shipping to the school.
